  • Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Organization. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Organization to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Organization, to perform services related to the Service or to assist the Organization in analyzing how the Service is used.

  • Site refers to Greenlight America, accessible from greenlightamerica.org as well as other forms hosted on third-party platforms to facilitate advocacy, event RSVPs, and other interactions with the Organization and our Service.

  • Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

  • To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.

  • For other purposes: We may use Your information for other purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our campaigns and to evaluate and improve our Service, campaigns, marketing and your experience.

We may share Your personal information in the following situations:

  • With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service, to contact You.

  • With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent, such as with coalition partners that are part of the campaign you are engaging in

  • With third parties that you are contacting through our forms: If you take action on our Site that involve third parties, such as submitting comments to a government agency or to the office of an elected official, your comments and identifying information become subject to their privacy rules, and may also be recorded or published in accordance with public records policies. The Organization is not responsible for the privacy practices of any such third party.
     

From time to time we supplement data on individuals in our database with information from publicly available sources or third-party vendors for the purpose of improving our communications. We may use this information to customize your experience online and offline. For example, we may send you opportunities to take action or attend events in the city, state, or region in which you reside, or prepopulate a form on our website for your convenience.

 

You may contact Us to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that You have provided to Us. To do so, please use our Contact Us page. Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

We do not solicit and not accept personally identifying information from any person under 13 years of age. Visitors to this Site who are under 13 years of age should not use this Site except under the supervision and with the assistance of their parent or legal guardian, and should never submit any personally identifiable information to the Site. 

Your rights and choices

Users retain the right to reject cookies and can do so through their cookie settings or by using a browser plugin.

Recipients can opt-out of email or text communications via the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of all Organization emails or the QUIT command via text messages.
