ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Greenlight America is a young non-profit that mobilizes grassroots power to win local siting and permitting campaigns for clean energy projects. We do this by partnering with local groups and activists to run strategic campaigns that win approval for clean energy projects in their communities. Our founding team has led some of the largest grassroots organizing networks in the country, and we are building a scalable model for engaging and mobilizing local residents in support of clean energy. 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Greenlight America is hiring four individual Community Partnership Managers with this position description. Each manager will have a different regional focus (which is subject to change). The Community Partnership Managers will play a vital role in supporting Greenlight's nonprofit partnerships. These positions will be responsible for conducting prospecting research and vetting for state and local partners, maintaining strong data management systems, providing internal administrative support, and supporting partner needs for our active and upcoming campaigns. We are excited to bring on organized and detail-oriented “do-ers” to the team to strengthen our ability to understand and serve our partners, strengthen our internal systems, and support successful local Greenlight campaigns.

Successful candidates for these positions will have experience in both external and internal written and verbal communications and nonprofit partnership building or grasstops relational organizing. They will be proactive team players with excellent organization, task management, follow-through, and time management abilities and a passion for clean energy and building relationships. These positions are remote and report to the Senior Partnerships Manager.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct research to identify and vet prospective local partners on several simultaneous campaigns in the region

  • Identify and conduct outreach to identify promising prospective partners in new locations as Greenlight expands into new regions and states

  • Participate in internal meetings to support partnership strategy for Greenlight campaigns

  • Coordinate partner engagement opportunities such as:

    • Coordinating partner volunteers for phone banking

    • Potentially organizing regional multi-day partner summits

    • Coordinating proposals and logistics for external trainings and presentations

  • Represent the organization and local campaigns in external forums, as needed

  • Collaborate with internal teams in support of department and organizational goals

    • Ensure accurate and consistent partnership data is available to all internal stakeholders

    • Support partnership and campaign staff with data entry and cleanup

    • Execute administrative tasks including scheduling, meeting preparations, meeting readouts and follow-ups, engagement tracking, and writing partner briefs

    • Support similar work in other regions and with the national team, as needed

  • Maintain outreach templates to different stakeholder audiences, regularly customize for prospecting on specific campaigns

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Key Qualifications 
We are especially interested in candidates with the following qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in campaigns or nonprofit partnership roles

  • Relevant experience in relational organizing roles or with issue advocacy that requires diverse stakeholder communications

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management, tracking, and reporting

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficient with Google Suite, database systems, and remote work environments

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while functioning as part of a collaborative team

  • Commitment to discretion and confidentiality when handling partner and campaign information

  • Willingness to give and receive feedback


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of and experience with clean energy work or similar issue areas

  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholder populations and adjusting language and messaging appropriately

  • Passion for accelerating the clean energy transition

  • Willingness to think creatively, take risks, objectively evaluate results, and iterate

  • Experience with partner prospecting and research

  • Basic understanding of nonprofit organizations including 501c3 and 501c4 structures
     

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base annual salary for this position is $75,000-$100,000. We offer an excellent benefits package which includes 100% employer paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off, monthly technology stipend, and retirement contributions through 401k and Roth plans.
